This is an excellent opportunity for the students who successfully obtain the Guildhall College validated Postgraduate Diploma in International Business Law awarded by the University of Gloucestershire to complete a dissertation for a Masters Degree.

PROGRAMME STRUCTURE

Research Methods

Four days of Research Method Workshops to equip students for research in order to prepare and submit a dissertation to Masters level.

Dissertation

The dissertation gives students the opportunity to pursue a specific interest. This substantial component of the course capitalises on students' skills as a graduate and develops in depth legal insight. The Dissertation requires the student to evaluate and synthesise relevant literature and use appropriate research methodology to produce a scholarly piece of work of 18,000 words.

The objectives of the dissertation are:

  • To allow the students to carry out a self-managed piece of work that provides an in-depth investigation of business and legal issues;
  • To reflects upon, apply and develop theory from analysis of data;
  • To argue and critically evaluate alternative research claims with justification;
  • To select and utilise appropriate research methods effectively;
  • To collect data to meet academic and organisational needs;
  • To reflect a substantive academic research dissertation based on recognised and justified research methods and to include description of a range of research approaches and methods

 

Duration

Research Methods Workshop and Dissertation - 16 Weeks.

Intakes

February, July & October.

English
To apply for this course you should have a minimum IELTS score of 6.5.

Applicants must provide proof of their scores, ideally an IELTS TRF (test report form), but internationally recognised equivalents (Cambridge FCE, TOEIC, TOEFL, iGCSE, BULATS) will be also be accepted, as will A level equivalent (HSC) In English.

Academic
Postgraduate Diploma in International Business Law or equivalent.
