BTEC Higher Nationals in Health and Social Care
What is it?
The development of National Minimum Standards and the establishment of the National Care Standards Council have meant that those practising personal care in health and social care settings must have achieved a minimum standard of education.
The Higher Nationals in Health and Social Care have been developed to underpin the vocational practice requirements of the National Minimum Standards and therefore give learners the contextual knowledge to progress in their employment area.
Who is it for?
HND in Health & Social Care is ideal for those wishing to study at undergraduate Health and Social Care qualifications for better job prospects in the health and social care sector at supervisory or management levels.
Entry Requirements
National Minimum Standards from the National Care Standards Commission established by the Care Standards Act 2000 dictate that those working in a personal caring role should be aged 18 or above.
